Anthony Posa named as Senior Coach for the Global Youth 7s.
We are delighted to announce a further addition to the management team set to lead our National U18 Academy Squads, as they head to New Zealand as they compete at the Global Youth 7s.
Anthony whose been involved with EggChaser since July, led our Elite Men’s Lions squad to the Copenhagen 7s title in August going undefeated, where the side conceded just 5 points throughout the entire tournament. He is currently a Lead Coach for our North Academy Programme.
Outside of his involvement with EggChaser, Anthony is the Head Coach for both Sheffield RFC who are performing well in National Two as well as Sheffield University. However a key highlight of his coaching duties is his role leading both the Men’s and Women’s 7s and 15s with his native Croatia.
Last season, Ant led the National Men’s 7s side to the Rugby Europe Sevens Championship (their highest ever achievement). This saw them face off against the likes of Olympic gold medalists France, GB, Ireland, Spain and Germany.
