TUI TO BOOST COACHING TEAM IN NEW ZEALAND

TUI TO BOOST COACHING TEAM IN NEW ZEALAND

We’re delighted to announce the first face of our management team with Tui Baleisolomone, joining our off-field team working as Performance Coach across both our Men’s and Women’s squads ahead of the 2024 Global Youth 7s to be hosted in Auckland, New Zealand.

Tui, who is our most decorated academy coach to date – will be following in his father’s footsteps with Solo who balances his role with leading coaching across East Anglia with his lead coach of the Lions at both RugbyTown and Safari 7s. Tui’s younger sister Lucy, is currently one of the rising stars in our East Anglia 7s Academy. They all either play or coach at Shelford RFC, of whom we hold a strong partnership with.

On his inclusion in the coaching team, Tui had this to add “I am honoured to be an assistant coach for this NZ tournament coming up. Really looking forward to working with some young talent and potential Lions and Lionesses.”

CEO & Founder of EggChaser, Arun Watkins had this to say “I first met Tui, when Lions played Marlborough two seasons ago at the Bury 7s. He is a serious player, and is fast developing into a exceptional coach. It’s important we have relevant role models within our coaching team, of whom our academy players can look up to. He’s earnt this opportunity, and I’m delighted he will be coming to New Zealand as part of the management team.”

The rest of our backroom team will be confirmed for this event in due course, if you’d like to find out more about our Elite 7s Academy please contact us on academy@eggchasersevens.com
