ggChaser 7s Academy is looking to recruit a North Lead 7s Academy Head Coach available with immediate effect.
The role consisting of around 9-12 hours a month of coaching, the role would entail leading the successful candidate overseeing the coaching provision operating for all Northern Academy Regions. You also lead the coaching of any International 7s Masterclasses within this region.
The Academy has seen a fast level of growth in the past year, and we now seek ambitious professionals to join us on this journey. We have faced the likes of South Africa, Australia and the All Blacks with our Senior squads winning the likes of Dubai, Amsterdam, Melrose and Edinburgh.
The successful candidate would not only have the opportunity to work in a key role within our National 7s Academy, but they will also have a pathway to elite coaching not only in 7s but rugby league.
EXAMPLE ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the coaching of North West, North East and Yorkshire Academy regions
• Lead and Manage the coaching staff across the North in collaboration with the Academy Manager
• Lead/Assist on Talent ID and Selection Days
• Lead/Assist with National 7s Academy squads on tours
• Lead/Assist with Senior Development 7s squads in tournaments
• Lead on selected masterclasses throughout the regions
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid UK Drivers license
• Own Car
• Good Communicator
• Ambitious
• Experience in elite rugby
• Right to work in the UK
• Hold a DBS/Hold the ability to gain one
TIME COMMITMENT/PLACE OF WORK:
• The North East region is based at Bishop Auckland, North West region at Lymm and our Yorkshire region is based at Pontecraft. Trainings are Monday/Friday evenings, Academy tournaments run on Sundays and some Saturdays from April to August.
• This role is initially offered on a part-time basis, however there is a possibility of a full-time option in the foreseeable future for the right candidate.
